Salisbury Beach Summer Parking Information

PLEASE READ ALL THE INFORMATION BELOW BEFORE PARKING YOUR VEHICLE AT SALISBURY BEACH!

If you have questions about parking at Salisbury Beach or questions about why your vehicle was towed, please contact the Salisbury Police Department at (978) 465-3121.

Summer is here and it’s time to hit the beach. Beach areas are crowded and parking is at a premium. Before you decide to forgo the paid parking lots or spaces and park on the street, be sure your vehicle is parked in a legal parking space.

Don’t ruin your vacation or day trip by having your vehicle towed for a parking violation. Survey your surroundings before you park. If you think it might be a violation, chances are it is. Remember it is ultimately your decision where you park your vehicle. Parking in a paid lot or paid designated paid parking space is the safest way to avoid a costly parking ticket and tow fees.

Here are the most common reasons vehicles are ordered towed by the Police Department for parking violations: (This is only a partial list.)

  • Vehicle is parked in a No Parking Zone.
  • Vehicle is blocking, partially blocking or impeding access to a driveway.
  • Vehicle is parked too close to a corner or intersection.
  • Vehicle is parked on the sidewalk.
  • Vehicle is parked in a Resident Only Parking Zone and does not display a valid Resident Parking Permit.
  • Vehicle is parked in a crosswalk.
  • Vehicle is in or partially blocking the travel lane of a roadway.
  • Vehicle is parked the wrong way on a street, road or public way.
  • Vehicle is parked blocking or too close to a hydrant.

Please note:
Newburyport Towing Service only tows specific vehicles as directly ordered by the Salisbury Police. We do not randomly tow vehicles. If you have questions regarding the reason for a tow, please contact the Salisbury Police at (978) 465-3121.
